peter

Peter McKenzie
Peter started the business in 1968. Although now retired, he is a firm believer if there is a problem there is always a solution. He worked hard over the years to make sure that any issues raised by customers were resolved satisfactorily. Until his retirement he was Ifor Williams Trailers’ longest serving distributor. He is a former chairman of Stirling Albion Football Club and a former professional footballer with Airdrie and Stirling Albion. He was recently honoured at a special benefit match, the proceeds of which went to local charities.

Wilson Muir
Few individuals in Scotland can have more hands on experience of trailer servicing and repairs than Wilson. He has been a loyal employee since he joined the business 35 years ago. His modest, calm approach has proved popular with our customer base over a long period of time. Much of Wilson’s time outwith work at present is taken up with his grandchildren Kirstyn and Euan.

robin

Robin Black
Robin joined Mckenzie Trailers almost 10 years ago. Although (whisper it!) he is past the official retirement age he continues to work. He is a fit, enthusiastic individual who has been a welcome addition to the staff at McKenzies. Robin has many connections throughout the farming community having previously worked in a variety of roles. He is a keen and talented curler.

recent staff recruits

Recent staffing recruits - include Sheila Flaws (Administration) Harry Frame (Workshop) and trainees Jamie Brown and Alex Armitage. Sheila (who incidentally was at School with Tricia) brings a wealth of administrative, banking and organisational skills to the firm as well as being a loyal, conscientious and helpful member of staff.

Harry Frame is a qualified mechanic who brings electrical, welding and other skills to the table. Harry has a wide range of technical knowledge on a range of trailers and vehicles which will assist McKenzies. Harry’s passion is repairing land rovers.

Jamie Brown commenced placement at McKenzie Trailers under Skill Seeker Trainee Scotland. Jamie was introduced to a series of basic tasks/duties over a period of 4 months and completed them so well that McKenzie Trailers agreed to employ Jamie to train as a Trainee Trailer Technician. Jamie is a keen football fan so obviously fits in well at McKenzies!

Alex left Wallace high school in 2011 and went to Alloa College where he gained an SVQ qualification in basic construction industry. He got a job as a window fitter and worked on many exciting projects including Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Tollcross Swimming Centre and the G West Clubhouse. Alex has been repairing vehicles from a very early age under the supervision of his Step-Dad Harry. His hobbies include BMX biking and Computer Gaming.
